Introduction

This Master Class supports practitioners who feel a living impulse to carry-on Sutherland's legacy by exclusively offering touch that Sutherland taught to his inner circle. To practice this touch, our consciousness expands beyond the physical senses outside the range of ego, Superego, brain, and nervous system. Obviously, we have to cultivate an enhanced depth of neutral that can lead us to 'realize and know I AM.'

Many non-osteopaths are drawn to Sutherland's approach, but osteopathic training is restricted to osteopaths. This has led some non-osteopaths to establish their own schools claiming to teach biodynamic principles, though these programs are efferent.

The first such school evolved from an Upledger Craniosacral Therapy (CST) Legacy Course. The instructor transformed this into a 'biodynamic' program by incorporating biodynamic terminology into the existing CST curriculum. This adaptation created two significant problems: First, CST is a protocol-driven practice accessible to lay practitioners, bearing little resemblance to the non-protocol approach of cranial osteopathy. Second, the efference taught in this curriculum diverges completely from the authentic biodynamic work developed by Sutherland, Becker, Jealous, and Duval, which teaches practitioners to 'synchronize with neutral and let the unerring potency be in total charge of the session.'

When the school's founder presented his curriculum to Dr. Jealous, Jealous specifically asked him not to use the term 'biodynamic' to describe his work." Jealous wrote:

"Be careful of experts who believe they understand Osteopathy. Why should they anyway? They have never practiced Osteopathy or studied with Sutherland or his students. To practice Osteopathy is not anything like what I have been told by craniosacral therapists (CST) that they do. I have witnessed this deception: non-Osteopathic persons taking Osteopathic ideas and presenting themselves as teachers of this work. I have met some of these people and they do not understand Osteopathy in any form but (from) their own imaginings. They often believe that they understand what the great ones have said. The great ones were great because of their teachers and the authority given them by a legacy that is strenuous. We need to reclaim our community or accept the death of Osteopathy." ~ An Osteopathic Odyssey p. 123-124.

By contrast, an osteopath describes his nine-year biodynamic training as entirely afferent-based, involving no efferent methods:

“I was in a group of post-graduate osteopaths in Holland and Belgium between 2003-2011 lead by Dr. Jealous. From day one, he made it very clear that (all aspects of a biodynamic session) transmutation, disengagement, synchronization, and augmentation are all effects of the Breath of Life, primary respiration, through neutral. We augment by synchronizing with neutral. What you teach is not different from what he has taught us, and it is in perfect alignment with the later teachings of Sutherland: no forces from outside by the practitioner are used whatsoever!”

Efference binds us in the ascending realms of consciousness, where the shadows of fear and the flames of desire conspire, veiling the sacred passage that leads our awareness to the silent sanctuary of the midline. When our ego and Superego operate out of fear or desire, our attention recoils away from our midline and we dissociate, which prevents the descent of consciousness in our body. To maintain our dissociative consciousness requires significant effort, which depletes our psychic energy and weakens our will. Once our will power diminishes, we become vulnerable to the following ego and Superego strategies (See Chart p. 44):

~ No contact with neutral, tides, or dynamic stillness because BCST teachers convince students to continue with their program, despite that students have no biodynamic experiences.

~ Clinging to the biodynamic tides to soothe our ego with bliss. When addicted to bliss, we get stuck in the ascending tides and suffer stagnation.

~ Absolutism, which means we use dynamic stillness as a bypass to keep us dissociated out of the body to avoid the discomfort of intensity, intimacy and paradox. In Zen, this is colorfully characterized as ‘stuck in emptiness amid the stink of enlightenment.’

~ Inquiry into the tides is a practice to seek exalted meanings and spiritual attainments to avoid surrendering into Sacred Repose.

~ Guru-disciple dynamic means we are codependent with an unscrupulous teacher who selfishly sacrifices ourevolution in exchange for adoring them like a guru. This is more common than not in the non-osteopathic teacher's circles (re-read Jealous above).

Even when it is unconscious, if fear or desire drive our actions, we bypass our true essence, engage in superficial inquiry, ascend prematurely, and recoil from the potency in our midline. When these patterns become a habit, we'll cling to external tides and may get entangled in a dysfunctional guru-disciple codependence with our cranial teacher. This dysfunctional co-dependent dynamic creates a psychological complex - what depth psychology identifies as the Psychotic Core. The Psychotic Core obstructs our connection to Divine Feminine Wisdom and blocks the vital union between body, consciousness, and love (See Vader below p. 10).

Re-enlivening Dr. Sutherland's Legacy

A grounded presence that reposes in our midline, is an essential practice for bearing the intensity we encounter in ourselves and recipients. In the Vedic scriptures, the practice of maintaining innerness is pratyahara. According to the tantric Kashmir Shiva-Shakti paths, when pratyahara matures, it becomes Sacred Repose. The power of innerness created by Sacred Repose ignites the descending spiritual current, which pulls infinite consciousness down the midline to implode in all our body's cells. This is enfleshment, which means after implosion we sense a co-breathing pulse between infinite consciousness (I AM) and our cells. This pivotal realization antidotes spiritual bypass. Enfleshment strips away the power that the ego and Superego misuses to recoil our awareness and disconnect us from our midline potency. Enfleshment reverses the bypass that has kept us stuck in ascent, and it reverses the Psychotic Core's chronic denial of the body. (See chart Practitioner Ethical Misconduct below on p. 45).

Given my new focus on a Legacy Practice, I have redesigned the three Master Classes to meet the challenges of our times. I feel compelled to emphasize Stillness Touch Legacy Practices that serve a new type of ferocious-hearted practitioner. Namely, practitioners who choose to carry-on Sutherland's impulse to counter the cancerous proliferation of efference that is taught as biodynamics outside of osteopathy. For example, a co-founder recently said that BCST needs to reevaluate that cranial bones move and BCST needs to separate from the spiritual.

1) The Stillness Practices offered in Master Class 1 are designed to cultivate the heart as an organ of perception, which land us in Sacred Repose that strengthens our will and empowers our unwavering presence of stillnessto integrate our Core Wound shadows.

2) The Grail Journey, in Master Class 2, evolves consciousness because we can now face and integrate the unbearable pain of our shadows. The resulting strength of will frees our Soul from unconscious efference, recoil, bypass, inquiry, and the self-limiting strategies of the ego and Superego that block the evolution of our consciousness.

3) Bypass is thoroughly explored in Master Class 3. We dive into the ways that unscrupulous teachers pose as guru's and mislead students through the use of fear and desire, by teaching bypass, inquiry, and dissociation into stillness while encouraging a guru-disciple co-dependence. Chronic bypass diminishes our strength of presence and weakens our will until our consciousness no longer belongs to us and we go into a zombie-like sleep.  Now let's begin our Master Class 1 Practices.

The Fundamental Disposition:
Dwell In The Heart Field As Our Organ Of Perception

Daily engaging the Stillness Practices, opens your heart field that becomes your organ of perception, which strengthens your will. Once heart perception awakens, you enjoy a biodynamic neutral as a field of whole body stillness. With consistent practice, the depth of your neutral state gradually deepens, strengthening your will to inwardly rest as the presence of stillness—regardless of intensity, intimacy, or paradox. This profound state is known as Sacred Repose. It is within Sacred Repose that you offer Stillness Touch effortlessly, without relying on any outward effort or movement. In this state, your heart field becomes your primary organ of perception, allowing your entire body to engage in a sacred form of sensing that Rudolf Steiner refers to as Spiritual Touch.(See p. 11 below). In this enhanced state of Spiritual Touch, you enjoy an unbroken bodily union with the sacred pulse of love that creates all things and which is stronger than death. When every cell pulses this love (Pure Breath of Love), it is called enfleshment. Our primary challenge to realizing enfleshment is to cease any habits that prevent it. The main culprit is efference.

What Is Efference?

Efference means 'carry out.' Efference carries consciousness out of our midline. The ego and Superego use fear and desire to recoil our presence out of our inner body sanctum. When our consciousness gets projected out of the body, we suffer dissociation.

Efference disrupts our primary relationship with the Self.

When the ego and Superego take over as our organ of perception, it controls our attention by continuously projecting our awareness out of the body onto objects. The ego then attempts to 'get from' these objects for me,the not-self, for selfish gain.

A narcissistic ego uses objectification to get ahead in life at the expense of others.

Instead of the letting the potency that created the body be in charge of a session, non-osteopathic schools teach us to use efference to attend to specific parts. Efference recoils us from our neutral midline potency.

Efference Is A Recoil From The Midline

When the ego recoils our consciousness, we lose contact with the midline and leave the body; in dissociation we are bereft of contact with the potency that created the body. Biodynamic schools outside of osteopathytrains students to recoil awareness away from the potency by using a wide variety of efferent methods (See Chart below on p. 44):

Objectification of the client; operates on an ego-to-ego relational field; feels the parts instead of the whole; uses hands to feel tidal motions; feels the status of anatomy and the nervous system for signs of trauma; expects motions such as cranial wave, tissue motion, or tides; seeks the midline or neutral; operates with an agenda; uses trauma management to treat symptoms of nervous system's reactivity to stress; negotiates space or zones; uses intention or suggests stillness to change structure and function; uses conversation skills to negotiate contacts; names events; visualizes the tides, midlines, tissues, organs, strcutures, etc.; acts as the doctor or therapist who heals; channels higher wisdom; holds the belief that the tides come from outside; teaches and supports unwinding; teaches "doing to" a recipient. (See Unconscious Recoils chart below p. 43).

As long as we engage any efferent practices, enfleshment cannot emerge. Efferent methods are appropriate when offering biomechanical or functional cranial to treat symptoms. However, if we apply efference while offering Sutherland's biodynamics or post-biodynamic Stillness Touch, it cripples the evolution of consciousness in the practitioner and client. Below are some of the consequences.

Efference Fragments Our Consciousness And Invites An Inner War

As mentioned, be it fear or desire, both efferently carry consciousness out of our midline to avoid contact with the potency. Efference then fragments our normally united Soul forces - thinking, felt-sense, will. When our Soul forces separate, they disconnect and scatter in different directions, each then acts as an independent, opposing part. This division not only sparks an internal conflict (inner war) along the midline but also gives rise to a complex that Steiner refers to as The Beast. Overt signs that indicate that the Beast has taken over our thinking, felt-sense, and will are dissociation, addiction to tidal bliss, dissociation in dynamic stillness, confusion of identity, a felt-sense of loss and deficient emptiness, we feel broken and incomplete. These symptoms indicate that our unintegrated Core Wound(s) are in charge of our will or Eros.

The Core Wound

Our first experience with dissociation was likely after an event was so unbearable that it separated us from our will or Eros. Extreme levels of pain separate us from our life force, which in depth psychology is called Eros or will. Depth psychology calls these dissociating painful events a Core Erotic Wound. They can occur while in the womb, during birth, infancy, childhood, and throughout life. If dissociation continues into adulthood, it is due to a hidden subtle core terror such as:

"I’m terrified of love because it will trigger the unbearable pain of my core wounds."

Core terror harbors a subtle low grade continuous inner dread that is due to an adversarial tension (inner war) between the masculine and feminine principles as they intertwine at each chakra level along the midline. The chronic state of stress due to the inner war prevents contact with our Essence, which is the unerring potency that dwells in our midline. When bereft of contact with the unerring midline potency that creates our body, we dissociate, which severs our primary relationship with our primordial Self.

One sign of dissociation is we do not remember our past.

If we daily engage Stillness Practice of pratyhara, efference ceases and our dissociated Soul forces of thinking, felt-sense, will withdraw back inside the body and reunite. Some call this a Soul retrieval because it feels like we have come home again in the body.

Let's Review Some Forms of Practitioner Efference

1) Misuse of stillness as a bypass - keeps consciousness in ascent.

2) Inquiry and addiction to biodynamic tides - blocks the descent of I AM.

3) Feeling anatomy - avoids the midline's unerring potency that is prior-to anatomy.

4) Teacher guru-disciple co-dependence - weakens our will.

The Ego Misuses Efference To Recoil Us Away From Potency

As mentioned, efference is appropriate when applying medical model touch - biomechanical or functional - to treat symptoms. However, to offer Sutherland's touch to Know I AM, we practice Be Still by inwardly dwelling in the potency of neutral.

In neutral, our presence of stillness (consciousness - shiva - masculine) is united with the wisdom of the body(love - shakti - feminine). Again, in neutral, the slightest degree of efference recoils our awareness out of the body, away from the midline potency, which prevents our contact with the tides, the Breath of Life, and Pure Breath of Love.

Now we are prepared to read Dr. Sutherland's instructions to cranial osteopaths:

We had a visit from a young lady, a ballet dancer whose name is well known on Broadway. In our living room, she gave a dramatic and reverent dance interpretation of the biblical saying 'Be Still and Know that I am God.' In her impressive presentation, we could see that she lost all awareness of the physical senses. "Be Still" these physical senses, and get as close to your Maker as you can, closer  than breathing. Where you realize what is meant by the Breath of Life, not the breath of air, the breath of air being merely one of the material substances which man utilizes in his walkabout on earth.

It has been my endeavor to get as far away from the physical senses as I possibly could, that is, to a point where one begins to experience - to realize 'Be Still and Know. That is why I have so much to say about information gained solely through laboratory tests and experiments and information often gained through the application of erring or unreliable physical senses. How many of you have the same degree of vision? The same degree of touch? ~ Final Lecture April 25, 1948 The AOA Millennium Yearbook

In addition to Sutherland's quote about the practitioner's use of outside forces while touching, Sutherland also said:  You do not have to test the sphenobasilar joint; allow the unerring potency of the tide to be in charge; the potency of the Tide has more Intelligence and potency in it than any blind force that can be safely applied from the outside. (For more Sutherland quotes, read Stillness Touch Appendix 3)

Why is efference an outside force? Because it does not arise from our inner-body wisdom. Rather, efference is an ego-driven, outer directed impulse that is designed to manipulate things 'out there' to serve me for selfish gain. Here's what Dr. Becker wrote about practitioner non-doing:

"When you are dealing with the highest known energy that’s available, it does not want anyone interfering with what it is trying to do" (Life in Motion p 48).

Becker's protégée, French osteopath Jacques Andreva Duval, implored the French cranial osteopathy practitioners to cultivate their spiritual growth:

"What you have to change, to transform totally is you and only you. Understand?"              (Read Stillness Touch p 216).

Practitioner Ethical Misconduct:

Efference Impacts Our Stillness Touch Recipient Because We Are Not Operating From Our Midline. Here Are The Results:

1)    Efference projects an empty void of inertia into a recipient’s inner body space.

2)    Inertia pours anti-life force in a recipient that diminishes the strength of the potency, alters functions, creates symptoms, and leads to dis-ease.

3)    Efference blocks the Template of Wholeness that is responsible for the process that makes the body.

4)    Efference diminishes the evolution of our consciousness, prevents our contact with the potency, the tides, Dynamic Stillness, and Pure Breath of Love.

5)    Efference blocks our realizing of I AM at Dynamic Stillness, which prevents our consciousness from descending the midline and blocks the implosion of I AM into the cells, which bypasses the Grail Journey, and stops the enfleshment of Pure Breath of Love.

6)    A practitioner's efferent touch creates footprints of inertia inside the recipient’s subtle body. These false fulcra create patterns of dysfunction and dis-ease; inexperienced practitioners treat false fulcra as though they are lesion patterns that are practitioner created.

If A Practitioner Operates From The Disposition Of 'I Am The Doer' It Is Efferent

When a practitioner acts as the doer, it confesses an unspoken Superego disposition that a renowned BCST teacher exemplified when he said this to my teacher:

"Charles hangs out in Dynamic Stillness, why can't he help the Breath of Life?”

If it could speak, is this what the teacher's Superego is actually saying here?  "I am the intermediary between God/Goddess and the patient."

Harboring a notion that 'I am helping the unerring potency that made the body' is exactly the disposition that creates inertial fulcra, which prevent the emergence of the neutral. No wonder non-osteopathic biodynamic practitioners, teachers, and authors fail to enjoy a living contact with the potency or the tides. The proof in the pudding as Sutherland would say, is this: 'since contact with the potency and the tides is conceptual, practitioners and teachers alike cannot sensually characterize their experiences; instead they use biodynanic jargon as buzzwords.

If a practitioner harbors the slightest intention such as ‘I am helping the Breath of Life' it confesses both a fear of the potency and a need to control. Fear is one of the ego's recoil strategies that block our contact with the potency of Dynamic Stillness. Recall that Dynamic Stillness is the living potency whose emanations made the body; and amid Sacred Repose, infinite consciousness pulses with love within all the cells of the body.

When a practitioner recoils from the unerring potency, even unknowingly, it is impossible to offer biodynamic touch to realize I AM the way that Dr. Sutherland taught. Why? Because we are bereft of the neutral that connects us to the potency that leads us to a realization of the tides, Dynamic Stillness (I AM), and Pure Breath of Love. Efference creates recoils that leave us in a state that is opposite to neutral.

Efference prevents our realization of neutral.

In my book Stillness (2006), I pointed out that the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Curriculum (BCST) offers 'doing to' efferent practices based on fear (See Chart below on p. 45). Alternately, Biodynamic Cranial Approach (BCA) uses desire, by teaching graduates to inquire into and cling to the bliss of the tides and to use dynamic stillness as a bypass to avoid the discomfort of the descent of consciousness. When we are stuck in ascent, we are unble to integrate the shadows of our Core Wounds. Due to the resulting bypass, we deny that Pure Breath of Love is a post-biodynamic non-tidal enfoldment. Why the denial? An osteopath Stillness Touch Legacy practitioner answers:

"We deny Pure Breath of Love because we have not descended into our body, or realized Pure Breath of Love as a whole body pulse."

As mentioned, when habitually efferent, we will inquire, bypass, dissociate, and become co-dependent with a teacher who parades as a biodynamic guru - all of this drives the shadows of our Core Wounds deeper into our subconscious. Here, our shadows grow stronger to feed the deepest, most sinister inertial forces within us. Depth psychology call these forces the Psychotic Core.

Within each human being is a seed of anti-life force that Rudolf Steiner calls Core Evil or Anti-Christ. The Psychotic Core is a Superego complex that destroys our contact with the Sophia, the body's Divine Feminine Wisdom. Sophia is the Rose of the World whose fragrance emanates an indestructible Life, Light, and Love that creates all things and is stronger than death. Another name is the Holy Grail.

If reposing inwardly in neutral is too difficult, our Psychotic Core may be active.

As mentioned, when our Psychotic Core is active, it co-opts our Soul forces and splits apart thinking, felt-sense, will. This fragmentation destroys our contact with the neutral's midline potency and we lose our primary relationship with the Source that created our body. Amid this separation, we can feel fear, desire, confused, unbearable pain, broken, lost, deficient emptiness, separate, lonely, and no connection to the living potency, the tides, the Breath of Life, or Pure Breath of Love.

For an analogy, let's look at the Star Wars movie character Darth Vader who exemplifies Psychotic Core behavior. Vader's Psychotic Core obsessively drove him to destroy The Force. (In the movie, The Force is the energy field of life that connects everything in the universe, which is Divine Feminine Wisdom and Love).

Let's apply this analogy to a practitioner who, in the name of offering biodynamics, uses efference during their sessions. Whether we are aware of it or not, if we use efference while touching, we are practicing virtual biodynamics. In a virtual biodynamics, we believe that tidal phenomenon exists independently outside the body. This misleads us to believe that the long tide emerges from outside and then it enters us. I believed the biodynamic dogma that Primary Respiration comes from outside; now I realize that Primary Respiration (PR) emerges from within every cell as a rhythmic pulse of pure breath of love that emanates from the SA node to each cell and extends to the periphery. The SA node emanation expands my consciousness beyond the edge of the horizon of my known. The expansion of my consciousness emanates from within each cell to infinity, which occurs because of suffusion, which means 'co-breathing.' Suffusion reunites our inner cellular breath, our heart's breath, and universal breath. The synchronized pulsing breaths emanate a simultaneous harmonic pulse of love. Rudolf Steiner writes about this co-breathing:

"We must learn to sense with the whole body as a sense of touch. In the head, we let awareness recede within behind the thought, into the brain core, and from     there, allow our everyday thinking to relax, then our perception will expand past   the horizon to infinity where it rests in stillness. Our own thoughts become still            and thinking becomes a cosmic activity that emanates beyond the body. This   new thinking from the beyond is perceived as an activity of light, which weaves     the archetypal pictures that are the original ideas of form that weave as waves in     the world like a refined breathing of light.”  (Read Stillness Touch p. 224)

When We Feel Anatomy With Our Hands It Recoils The Potency

If I feel anatomy with my hands, it blocks my contact with the midline's unerring potency. But how can that be? Embryologist Blechschmidt provides a lens into this fact. During conception, the egg and sperm unite, which quickens the unerring potency to emanate a Template of Wholeness to make the body. However, the body is not made as individual parts, but as one whole unit. The pacemaker cells - that migrated from the gut mesoderm to the corona radiata - surround the entire embryo they emanate a field into the protoplasm, which creates developmental motions that make the body's metabolic formative fields. These metabolic fieldsexpress specific forming functions that then create specific anatomy to serve the already existing functions. Blechschmidt discovered the radical principle of biodynamics: function creates form. Medical dogma says structure creates function, which biomechanical and functional therapies use to relieve symptoms.

Again, an infinite field of unerring potency emanates from the SA node (pacemaker cells). The potency carries the blueprint that powers the biodynamic whole-making process that creates the body as one unit. If we habitually feel anatomical parts and evaluate them with our hands, it recoils us away from the potency because feeling with the hands is an efferent act. Efference recoils us away from the heart's emanating field that carries the Template of Wholeness, which means, it hinders the free-flow of healthy function, which distorts structure (See Blechschmidt in Stillness Chapter 1). Recall that it is the blueprint template of the unerring potency that creates our whole body.

After making the body, after birth the potency maintains our health, develops our cognitive functions, and evolves our consciousness. This fundamental principle of Rudolf Steiner's spiritual science is also an osteopathic   biodynamic principle based on Blechschmidt's work.

When We Feel Anatomy With Our Hands It Breaks The Whole Into Parts

To feel specific anatomy, we objectify the recipient to separate them from us. Then, we enter their subtle body (the craniosacral system) to evaluate anatomy and the nervous system's functions. Any evaluation of function is efferent because it breaks the body's inherent wholeness into parts that we contrive as separate anatomical compartments. We then inquire into the functioning of each separate anatomical 'part' to develop a treatment plan. We then apply a sequence of physical techniques or intentions to each anatomical part to change its function. Hence, we apply functional methods to move the structure physically or we psychically move with our intention to change the function.

Using hands to feel function is opposite to Sutherland's non-doing touch that lets the unerring potency be in charge of harmonizing the function that then changes the structure (Re-read Sutherland's Final Lecture above on p 7).

When The Practitioner Is Not The Doer - The Unerring Potency Can Heal

Sutherland taught osteopaths that the practitioner is not the doer; it is the "unerring potency" that heals. We access unerring potency in neutral while being inwardly still (Be Still). Neutral touch by definition is non-efferent and non-doing. By contrast, each efferent method we apply to a client cumulatively recoils our presence increasingly farther away from the unerring potency in the midline. Eventually, as mentioned, we lose contact with our Source potency in our midline, which severs our primary relationship with the primordial Self and bypasses our contact with the recipient's Template of Wholeness.

Why Does The Ego Recoil Us From The Potency?

Again, the ego recoils our awareness from the potency because it harbors a subtle core terror that arises due to a subconscious misperception:

"If I contact the potency it will reactivate the unbearable pain of my Core Wounds."

This subtle core terror activates the ego's hypervigilance so it can detect the slightest degree of potency. When the slightest whiff of potency emerges, the ego recoils our attention away from it. In practice, that means whenever we get close to potency, the ego will recoil our awareness away from it. The welling of the potency emerges before the neutral begins, so it is the ego's terror that prevents the potency from arising that creates the neutral. Unfortunately the non-osteopath biodynaic schools have institionalized the efferent practices shown in the Chart on p. 44. If our will is stronger than the ego, we can remain inwardly present with the potency when it emerges.

Note: The impact of not engaging our will strengthening Stillness Practices forms the topics of the Grail Journey Master Class 2. And what happens if we do not engage our Grail Journey is covered in the BypassMaster Class 3.

Cease Efference, Strengthen Your Will, Retrieve Your Soul, Free Your Consciousness From Ego And Superego Limits

The Stillness Practices in this Study Guide come from Rudolf Steiner who derived them from the ancient Tibetan Tantric Meditations that strengthen the will and open the heart as an organ of perception. We engage these practices by first, attuning our awareness inward in a neutral repose that then connects us to our presence of stillness with no intention or goal. While offering Stillness Touch, we dwell within in a state of not knowing. In this neutral disposition, consciousness reposes inside our whole body space that is filled with Divine Feminine Wisdom and Love.

NOTE: If your acts reflect the following mantra, you are neutral:

 Whatever emerges,

Let it be,
Leave it as it is,
Let go of control
Amid an open-hearted inner repose
In dont know.

The above mantra depicts the fundamental disposition of neutral, which is a non-efferent and non-doing act of will. Neutral frees consciousness that naturally unites with the unerring potency and restores our contact with the Template of Wholeness that dwells in us and in our Stillness Touch recipient.

Attuning within is an Ancient Vedic practice called Pratyahara.

Pratyahara Is The Opposite Of Efference

Pratyahara means we attune our awareness within, amid an effortless repose, while we wait in nothing for nothing, in ‘don’t know' (no meaning-making).

Whatever emerges inside, we sense it, as it is.

Feeling Anatomy Is The Opposite Of Pratyahara

By contrast, as mentioned, the ego uses efference to recoil our awareness away from the potency by projecting our consciousness out of its inner-body sanctum to land our attention onto an outer object, such as anatomy or the nervous system. Again, efference severs our primary relationship with Self, which separates us from our Stillness Touch recipient. When we use efference during a session, it breaks the client's wholeness into separate anatomical parts how? Because we feel our client's inertial tissue motions to provide us with diagnostic information needed to treat them. Alternately, we may be taught to efferently inquire into the biodynamic tides to derive spiritual meanings and attainments.

When we are neutral, our consciousness withdraws back inside and reposes in a non-doing and not knowing disposition. Regardless of the degree of intensity, intimacy, or paradox, if we repose inside, it strengthens our will. When our will is strong, our unwavering presence of stillness is firmly established inside as an unconditional neutral field that is united with the Source potency that creates all things.

The Breath of Life and Pure Breath of Love thrive harmoniously as a potent ocean of seamless Wholeness. Pure Breath of Love emanates a Sacred Pulse that suffuses all our cells that operate in unison with the heart's SA node emanation.

When Pratyahara Becomes Sacred Repose
It Is The Fulcrum For Alchemical Transmutation

Inwardly reposing as the presence of stillness frees the unerring potency that, as a whole-body activity, restores healthy functioning. Pratyahara builds our strength of will so we can repose in non-doing amid any degree of intensity, intimacy, and paradox.

With our practice of Pratyahara we enjoy a new definition of anatomy:

Anatomy: An Invisible Template Of Wholeness That Becomes The Body

Again, it is the Template of Wholeness that possesses the unerring potency to manifest the precise embryological developmental motions that create the metabolic fields that form the body's functions as a single unit of whole-body activity.

Function Creates Anatomy.

Again, Erich Blechschmidt discovered that the whole body is created as a single unit of function and that embryological development is not a part-making process.

Blechschmidt: The Body Is Already Whole At Concpetion

Review: Potency contains the invisible blueprint patterns that, at conception, creates the whole body as a single biodynamic activity over nine months. Blechschmidt's principle is the foundation of biodynamic cranial osteopathy.

Recall that Sutherland wrote when we feel anatomy with our hands, we are using our erring physical senses, which recoils us from the potency because we are using efferent touch to feel the anatomy. Again, efference unleashes our dualistic awareness that wraps consciousness around each 'separate' anatomical part. This separating sense of the ego is what prevents our encounter of the biodynamic whole-making process.

We can only access the biodynamic domains of whole-making when we are neutral, but there's a catch: neutral arises only if our consciousness is reposed within and it is not driven outward by the recoils of the ego or Superego. With Pratyahara, we maintain an inward repose of our consciousness that lands us in neutral, which occurs only when our consciousness belongs to us.
